Frontline is England’s largest social work charity and creates social change for children who do not have a safe or stable home, by developing excellent social work practice, leadership and innovation. Its vision is a society where no child’s life chances are limited by their social or family circumstance. The Frontline programme participants have supported over 67,000 families while on the programme, and tens of thousands more families since becoming social workers.

Simplify expenses processes and save valuable time

Frontline was looking for an expense management solution that was easy to use and allowed their employees to focus their time on their actual day-to-day tasks. As well as making it easier for staff members to submit, Frontline needed a system that would integrate seamlessly with their Xero accounting package and get the employee’s expenses paid back in a timely manner. After going through ExpenseIn’s implementation service, Frontline was able to roll out ExpenseIn to their employees in record speed and get value from the system straightaway.

As a charity, we want to make our processes as easy as possible for colleagues so that they can spend more time supporting our beneficiaries. We initially moved our out-of-pocket expenses system to ExpenseIn and users loved how intuitive and easy it was to use. 

Roll out the invoice module

A year later, Frontline was keen to explore ExpenseIn’s invoice management system to streamline their invoice process. With ExpenseIn’s expenses and invoice module, Frontline was able to benefit from having everything in the same place with little additional configuration. Frontline has made use of both the invoice approval and purchase requests feature to get the invoices processed quicker and with more controls in place.

The invoice module allowed us to spend more time working towards better outcomes for children and families as well as delivering cost savings for the organisation.
